Halloween Past and an Exciting Announcement

Halloween spirit is all around us now with the festive day of Trick or Treat fast approaching.  The kid's are getting excited and we are busy doing fun things like pumpkin patch visits, school carnivals and halloween parties.  So much fun!  I love that I get to scrapbook Halloween photos during the month of October and remember past Halloween festivities.  I'm working with Teresa Collin's Masquerade Party I Want It All Bundle from Fotobella.

This collection has some great paper designs and lots of fabulous embellishments.

There is also some great Washi tape!

Grab this collection to scrap your Halloween memories!  Have fun layering up the papers and embellishments like I did.

I'm also excited to share that Fotobella announced the new design team today and I have been selected to stay on the team for the next term!  Yay!  It's such a great company and design team to be on!  I'm really happy and thankful that I get to keep designing for them!  Thanks Fotobella!  Visit Fotobella's blog to meet all of the design team members!

Have a fabulous day!

Masquerade Party

Here comes Halloween....Here Comes Halloween...right around the next corner....BOO!

Halloween is such a fun holiday to celebrate, and a great way to celebrate is with a Halloween Party.  I've been working with Teresa Collins Masquerade Party Bundle from Fotobella and made this party invitation.

The collection includes a whole page with invitation die cuts, perfect for those of you who LOVE to make your own invitations.  And each die cut is different, making each invitation unique.

After layering a few papers and inking the edges I added the chipboard bats to the top of the invite.

And at the bottom I layered a the pennant strip and the circle pattern.  This was quick and simple and you will be well on your way to hosting your own Masquerade Party with your favorite ghouls and goblins!

Have a Happy Halloween!

Cut & Paste with Kiwi Lane

I'm super excited to be here sharing my first project for the Kiwi Lane Design Team, yay!  I had the pleasure of working with American Crafts Amy Tangerine's Cut & Paste Collection.  And what a fun collection it is!  Combined with the Kiwi Lane templates featured this month, I am showing how you can make a non-traditional fall layout with 3D embellishments.  The colors of the this collection compliment my photos, making this layout work.

Using the pumpkin shape from the Holiday templates, I cut out three pumpkins from the same paper.

I then folded two of the pumpkins in half, and glued all three of them together along the folds.  Tada! a 3D popup pumpkin embellishment.

I paired the pumpkins up with the fun embellishments in the Cut & Paste paper collection to embellish the page.

I also created a fun card using the same technique with the butterfly shape from the Nature templates.

Bushel of Fall Release Party w/ Imaginisce

Welcome to the Party!  The Bushel of Fall Party!  Imaginisce has released on of their newest collections and boy is it fabulous!  The colors are beautiful, the patterns are amazing and the embellishments are super cute and fun!

This collection is perfect for pumpkin patch photos.  My kiddos just love the pumpkin patch and want to go year round if that was possible.

One of the cool things about this new collection is the versatility with the embellishments.  They allow for you to mix and match them the way you want to achieve that perfect look.

With my embellishments I made some hand cut shapes out of the fun patterned papers (circle, pennant, starburst) to compliment the shapes of the embellishments I chose to use from the collection.  I clustered them together towards the bottom of the pages so the the adorable photo in the layout!

Have a fabulous day!

Kiwi Lane & Imaginisce

I was really excited to find out that Imaginisce and Kiwi Lane Designs would be working together this month doing a product swap between Design Teams :)  I love Kiwi Lane and all their great templates!  I had the pleasure of working with the Tiny Holiday Accessory Pack and paired it with Imaginisce's Outdoor Adventure line to scrap one of my favorite photos of my husband and I when we went to Aspen, Colorado last October.  Aspen is really beautiful and my husband took some absolutely awesome photos!

From accessory pack I used the tree and leaf templates.  I cut out two trees and layered them together to look like one large tree.  The leaves were cut out of fall color paper.  To add the leaf veins, I folded the leaf and inked the fold.  It added some great detail and dimension!

The templates from Kiwi Lane are fun and easy to use.  Just trace the shape on to the paper and cut it out.  Then add it to your layout.  Visit Kiwilanedesigns.com to see all the fabulous templates they offer and see how they use them to create beautiful projects.

Have a fabulous day!

Imaginisce's October Challenge

Welcome to another new month OCTOBER (yikes!) and with that another Sketch Challenge with Imaginisce.  We have another fabulous layout for you to use and participate in the challenge contest this month.

Here are the Challenge Rules:

1. THEME: Fall/Halloween
2. Colors: ORANGE & BROWN
3.  Use a Fall/Halloween themed embellishment (ie. Pumpkins, acorns, leaves, etc)

Here is my layout:

I chose to do the fall theme.  I have a ton of photos from our Aspen, Colorado trip.  In October the trees and leaves are absolutely beautiful.  Living in Southern California (especially by the beach) I do not get to experience such a season change.

For the leaves, I used a template and hand cut them.  Folding them and inking them give them a more realistic look.  I tucked them into the border and placed foam tape behind them so that they stood off the page.

Hope you have a chance to participate in this month's challenge!

Have a fabulous day!

Supplies:  Imaginisce Outdoor Adventure Collection, Good Dog Collection, White card stock, Kiwi Lane templates for leaves, Brown Ink, Baker's twine, Foam tape.
