Blessed Boxwood Wreath with ADORNit

Fun fall projects are here friends!  I've been busy with my Silhouette Cameo and ADORNit products to create this beauty, a 3d boxwood wreath.

The cut file is compliments of Furrow and Feather at the online Silhouette store.  Isn't it fun?  I chose two different ADORNit papers for the leaves, the Mint Chevron from the Blender Basics and the small flower patterned paper.  Now at first, when I cut out all these pieces, I was like hold up a minute!!!  That's a lot of pieces!  But then I visited FurrownandFeather.com and she assembled this baby in no time!  haha!

Before assembling, I inked some of the leaf edges with ink and then set to it.  Honestly, it was a breeze!  And wow, what a beauty!

I cut out the "Blessed" piece from the Sunflower Cut Apart 12"x12" ADORNit paper and hung it in the center with twine.

What fall projects have you got in the works?  Willing to try this fun wreath?  I hope so!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous fall day!

It's The Small Moments with ADORNit

Happy Friday!  How many of you order pizza on Friday nights?  We love it!  Seems like the perfect way to start the weekend if you ask me!  I've got some fun photos from one of our favorite places to go displayed in this layout that was inspired by a sketch from My Creative Scrapbook!

The paper is from ADORNit, the Blender Basics pad and the Chamberry collection.  I also added some ink, twine and journaling to complete the look.

Here's a close up of the fun layers.  For the curved piece I used my Creative Memories tearing tool.  Gives the edge just enough of that torn texture, perfect for a boy themed layout I think :)

I love this saying from the Chamberry cut a part paper and thought it went well with the theme of my layout.  Hope you all have a creative weekend and check out ADORNit.com for some fun products!

Happy with ADORNit Watercolour Pencils

Let me just start with how much fun I'm having as an ADORNit "It Girl"!  One of my discoveries while doing this gig are the ADORNit watercolour pencils...I mean where have these been all of my crafty life?!?  It's quite possible I've been in the dark on this one,  and if you have also, well now I'm shining a bright light for ya!  TRY THESE PENCILS!!!  They'll transform your adult coloring experience!!

Here's how:  First of all, I started small.  A Happy card from one of ADORNit's coloring pads.  I wanted to experiment with blending so I chose a couple of colors: aqua, navy and black.  I colored the aqua in the middle of the H.

Then I outlined the aqua with the navy color.

I did the same with each letter, with the pinks and yellows.  After it was all colored in, I filled that fabulous water brush the set comes with, with water and slowly began going over the letters.  working from the inside of the letter out.  And this is what resulted from it!!!  I love it!

Want to have some watercolor fun of your own? Snag these pencils!  Go to Adornit.com or Amazon has them too!  I'm not kidding, they are AMAZING!  Thanks for stopping by today and thank you ADORNit for such fabulous products!

Fun Flamingo Layout with ADORNit

Hello friends,

Starting in October, I've had the pleasure of working with ADORNit and their fabulous products as an ADORNit Ambassador, aka "It Girl"!  It's been a ton of fun!!  Today I'm sharing a scrapbook layout made with ADORNit's Flamingo collection.

This collection is full of bright flowers and flamingos and makes for very fun layout!  I chose this photo of my daughter adorned in watermelons from head to toe to pair up with this collection and think it's a perfect match <3.  The red and white check paper and green patterned paper seemed a fitting choice for the photo matte.

I love fussy cutting (I find it relaxing!  weird? I know!) and went to town on the Flamingo "Be You" from the Flamingo Cut Apart paper from the collection.  The key to clean cutting is to use large scissors as opposed to small ones to keep the cuts smooth instead of choppy.  The larger scissors also take the curves well when turning around the shape.  ;)

Another technique I use often when scrapbooking is layering.  Here's a close up of the layered papers I used.  I inked the edges with brown and green ink so they pop off the page.

And then there's journaling....  always a tough one for me and often times I've got to force myself to write something, anything!  However, no matter how short or simple the sentiment, it's important to implement.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!  If you haven't yet tried ADORNit products, visit them at ADORNit.com and check it all out.  You'll love everything!  I do!

Have a fabulous day!
